He used a carving knife to carefully cut the images into the melons, drawing from photographs of his favourite players for inspiration
A Brazilian chef has celebrated the upcoming Brazil World Cup by carving the picture of his favourite players on watermelons.
Crafty Rogerio Holando has creating these amazing artworks in the run up to the tournament being held in his home country next month.
He expertly etched the face of Portugese striker Cristiano Ronaldo and his famous CR7 tagline onto two of the fruits.
And the talented chef also chose to use Brazilian player Neymar as his muse for one of the incredible pieces of art.
He completed his line-up with a picture-perfect melon bearing Argentinian playerLionel Messi’s face.
They’re on display at the San Raphael hotel in Sao Paulo, where Holando has posed for pictures with his fantastic fruit.
The Fifa 2014 World Cup kicks off in Rio de Janeiro on June 12th.
